OZEV-APPROVED ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING POINT INSTALLER

EV Charging Grant Support for Businesses, Charities & Public Sector Organisations

As an OZEV-approved EV charging installer, we help workplaces across the UK take advantage of government funding for electric vehicle infrastructure.

What is the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)?

The Workplace Charging Scheme is a government-backed initiative offering financial support to companies looking to install EV charging points at their premises. Administered by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), the scheme offers up to £350 per socket for a maximum of 40 charging points per organisation, across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Who Can Apply?

Your organisation may be eligible if:

  • You’re a registered business, charity or public sector body.

  • Your premises has dedicated off-street parking.

  • You have a current or planned need to support electric vehicle charging.

💡 Work from home? If your home is also your registered place of business (as shown on Companies House or HMRC), you can still apply.

How to Apply for the WCS Grant

  1. Talk to us – As a certified OZEV installer, we’ll carry out a free site survey and guide you through your eligibility.

  2. Apply online – Complete the application form via the government website.

  3. Receive your voucher – If approved, you’ll receive a unique voucher code within 5 working days.

  4. Schedule your install – Share your voucher with us and we’ll handle the installation and the grant claim on your behalf.

Your voucher will remain valid for 180 days from the date of issue.

Can I Combine This with Other Grants?

Yes! You may also be eligible for the EV Infrastructure Grant for staff and fleet, which offers:

  • An extra £350 per charging point, plus

  • Up to £500 per EV-ready parking space prepared.

We’ll advise you on how to maximise support during your site survey.

What Happens After I Apply?

Once your voucher is received:

  • We’ll confirm your installation details, including location, number of sockets, and expiry date.

  • We’ll complete your install within the voucher’s 180-day timeframe.

  • We’ll handle the claim process directly with OZEV, so there’s no extra paperwork for you.

What If My WCS Application is Rejected?

Although rare, if your application is declined, you can appeal by contacting the DVLA at [email protected]. A manager will review your case and respond with a final decision.

Can I Extend My Voucher or Reapply?

If your installation can’t be completed in time, you’ll need to withdraw the voucher and submit a new application. Only chargepoints installed after a new voucher is issued will be eligible.

If you’ve partially used a voucher (e.g., installed 10 of 15 sockets), we’ll claim the grant for those completed, and you can reapply for the rest.

Want to Install More Chargers Later?

Absolutely. You can continue to apply for additional vouchers, up to a total of 40 sockets per organisation. For instance, if you’ve installed 12 so far, you’re still eligible for up to 28 more.

Still Have Questions?

We’re happy to help! Whether you’re just exploring your options or ready to apply, get in touch and we’ll guide you through the entire process.
